Apart from being the TOEFL ITP Test Center, Alistpro has been appointed as a representative of the British Council to be an official authorized IELTS Test Center. We are presently open to public for anyone who would like to take a test either TOEFL ITP or IELTS and can advise you on how to prepare yourselves for the test or how to register for the test. Currently, we administer both of the IELTS on Paper and IELTS on Computer.

 

IELTS Test 

 

IELTS – the International English Language Testing System – is the world’s most popular English language test. It is developed by some of the world’s leading experts in language assessment and evaluates all of your English skills — reading, writing, listening and speaking.

IELTS is accepted by more than 10,000 organisations in over 140 countries. Those organisations include governments, academic institutions and employers with 3,400 in the USA alone. IELTS result can be used as a good evidence of English language skills to apply for jobs and university courses, applying for a job or for the immigration requirements.  

 

Types of IELTS

 

IELTS Academic test measures whether you have the level of English language proficiency needed for an academic, higher education environment. If you want to study at university or work in an English speaking country, study at either undergraduate or postgraduate level anywhere in the world, you need to take this test.

IELTS General Training measures English language proficiency in a practical, everyday context. The tasks and tests reflect both workplace and social situations. If you want to train or study at below degree level or work related training in an English speaking country, you need to take this test. 

IELTS UKVI is a specific test for visa and immigration. For anyone who are looking for work, study or live in the United Kingdom then you may need to take this test.

IELTS Life Skills test is for people who need to prove their English-speaking and listening skills at Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Levels A1, A2 or B1. IELTS Life Skills A1, A2 and B1 only test your listening and speaking skills. 
 

  • IELTS Life Skills test is for people who need to prove their English-speaking and listening skills at Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Levels A1, A2 or B1. IELTS Life Skills A1, A2 and B1 only test your listening and speaking skills. 
  • IELTS Life Skills B1 is for people who need to prove their English speaking and listening skills at Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) level B1 as part of their application to UKVI for citizenship/settlement.

IELTS and IELTS for UKVI are the same in terms of format, content, scoring and level of difficulty. However, the Test Report Form which contains your results is slightly different to show that you have taken the test at an official IELTS for UKVI location, which is approved by the UK Home Office. 
 

There are different types of IELTS tests you can take. Before booking your test, make sure to check which test you need with the organisations you are applying to. 

Test Format (Test modules) 

IELTS Academic


Duration: 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Format:  There are four sections to the test: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking and will take 2hours and 45 minutes. The order in which Listening, Reading, Writing tests are taken may vary. There are no breaks between these three tests. Your Speaking test may be offered on the same day as the other sections of the test, or up to a week before or after. You will receive notification in advance if your Speaking test is on a different day to your main test day
 

Test Fees

You will be able to preview your results via Test Taker Portal within 28 days after the test date. Institutions need original copies of your Test Report Form. Photocopies will not be accepted.
 

  • If you have taken the paper-based test, you will be able to preview your results after 13 calendar days from the test date.
  • If you have taken the computer-delivered test, you will be able to preview your results after 3 to 5 calendar days from the test date.

TRF – IELTS Test Report Form 

We will send out a paper copy of your IELTS test score, the TRF (Test Report Form) via mail delivery;

  • 13 days after the test date for a paper-based test
  • 3 to 5 days after a computer-delivered test.
